DFW Actors Give Back
Presents $10,500 to the Children’s Cancer Fund

DFW Actors Give Back proudly announces that sales from HOLIDAZZLE Encore! raised $10,500 benefitting the Children’s Cancer Fund.

HOLIDAZZLE Encore! brought together the shining stars of the Dallas/Fort Worth musical theater scene in 2013 to produce and sell HOLIDAZZLE Encore!, a compilation of holidays songs ranging from the tradition to the contemporary. Each track featured a different solo or group performance.

HOLIDAZZLE Encore! is the third album created by DFW Actors Give Back which has contributed over $35,000 to local children’s charities since 2009. DFW Actors Give Back Founder and President, Bob Hess, has been overwhelmed by the support of the DFW community. “The Children’s Cancer Fund became very important to all of us in the community when one of our own was faced the daunting task of dealing with childhood cancer. We are grateful to the Serber family for letting us share Libby’s story to help raise money for this amazing organization.”

The Board of Directors would especially like to thank the theaters that supported this project: Our Productions Theatre Co., Theatre 3, Uptown Players, Water Tower Theatre, Dallas Children's Theater, Denton Community Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, One Thirty Productions, Onstage in Bedford, Plaza Theatre Company, Theater Arlington.

Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF) was founded in 1982 by a coalition of parents whose children were receiving cancer therapy at Children’s Medical Center. Today, CCF continues to support families and doctors in the fight against childhood cancer. Through strategic investments, the organization champions real results in research and provides care for our North Texas community. The annual fundraiser, the Children’s Cancer Fund Luncheon and Fashion Show, brings together children, celebrities and sponsors who escort the children as the stars on the runway. Funds raised by Children's Cancer Fund at the annual event help to advance research and treatment programs in pediatric oncology at Children's Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas which ultimately benefits children worldwide.
