PERFORMING ARTS FORT WORTH ANNOUNCES 2018-2019 BROADWAY AT THE BASS SEASON!

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 26, 2018 – Performing Arts Fort Worth proudly announces its 2018-2019 Broadway at the Bass Season at Bass Performance Hall! Comprised of seven shows, plus two add-on specials, the series offers a mix of all-time favorites with brand-new shows direct from Broadway. Season ticket packages start at $268.40 – that’s seven shows for $38 each!

The season will kick off with a return engagement of THE BOOK OF MORMON, called the “best musical of the century” by The New York Times. Other blockbusters on the season include the Tony Award-winning JERSEY BOYS; Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES; and an all-new production of the Broadway classic FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

Among the shows making their Fort Worth debuts: ON YOUR FEET!, based on the lives and careers of musicians Emilio and Gloria Estefan; ANASTASIA, a thrilling new musical inspired by the beloved films of the same name; and A BRONX TALE, a doo wop-fueled stage version of the classic film.

In addition, there will be two add-on specials: THE ILLUSIONISTS, a mind-blowing spectacular that showcases the jaw-dropping talents of five of the most incredible Illusionists on Earth, and Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA, the Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music that's delighting audiences with its contemporary take on the classic tale.

About Performing Arts Fort Worth:

The mission of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall is to serve as a permanent home to major performing arts organizations of Fort Worth and as a premiere venue for other attractions so as to enhance the range, quality, and accessibility of cultural fare available to the public; to promulgate arts education; and to contribute to the cultural life of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and the region.

Built entirely with private funds, Bass Performance Hall is permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and the Cliburn. Each resident company operates independently from Performing Arts Fort Worth and manages its own programming schedule at Bass Hall.

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the nonprofit organization that oversees management of the Hall, also presents national touring Broadway product under the Broadway at the Bass banner, as well as programming that includes the BNSF Popular Entertainment Series.

The 2,042-seat multipurpose Hall is characteristic of the classic European opera house form. An 80-foot diameter Great Dome tops the Founders Concert Theater while two 48-foot tall angels grace the Grand Facade. Since the Hall opened in May 1998, the angels have become preeminent cultural icons of the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
