DFW THEATER COMMUNITY MOURNS THE LOSS OF LOCAL ACTRESS

With permission from Rover Dramawerks Artistic Director Carol Rice, she allowed me to post the following sad, painful news:

Christian Hopson (who went by the name Christian Alexandria) was to have made her mainstage debut last weekend in the world premiere of Crisis at Rover Dramawerks, but she tragically passed away. She was new to the Dallas Theatre scene.

She had just finished appearing in three plays in Rover Dramawerks' 365 Women a Year Festival Christian and also work in short films. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University. There are conflicting reports on the nature of her passing, which currently is unclear.

The following paragraph comes directly from the gomefund that was set up by her family to cover funeral expenses:

A bright light in so many people's lives has been burnt out way too soon. On May 20, 2016, our beloved Christian Hopson`s life was scuffed out at the tender age of 26. Christian was a wonderful, funny, loving, faithful, and vivacious young woman whose smile lit up the stage and the lives of loved ones. She touched so many lives as a friend, sister, daughter, aunt, and rising star in the theatre world.

In the wake of this tragedy, we are raising a memorial fund for funeral and additional expenses in the investigation of her death. We know that many of her friends near and afar are concerned about her family members and want to help. All donations big & small would be greatly appreciated to help make this time less stressful for her family!! Funeral arrangements are unknown at this time but will be updated

I hope you will join me in sending prayers to her family, friends, and the entire Crisis Company over this very sad and tragic news.
