MAINSTAGE IRVING-LAS COLINAS ANNOUNCES 2018-19 SEASON

IRVING, TEXAS: MainStage Irving-Las Colinas unveiled three plays, two musicals and a special collaboration that will be produced as part of the 2018-19 season to a packed house of volunteers, subscribers, and supporters on Sunday night, April 15 at the Irving Arts Center. The new season features Kiss Me Kate, Ravenscroft, The Night of the Iguana, Disaster! The Musical, and Boeing, Boeing. Additionally, MainStage will partner with the thinkIndia Foundation to produce The Red Pashmina, a production with live music, dance and drama exploring the different eras in India’s picturesque past. All MainStage productions are performed in the Dupree Theatre at the Irving Arts Center (3333 N. MacArthur Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75062).

Season ticket packages for all five shows range from $82-$95 (including a convenient “Flex Pass”). Season ticket renewals are being accepted now. New season ticket orders will be available for purchase June 16 through the Irving Arts Center Box Office at 972-252-2787 and online at www.irvingtheatre.org.

The Red Pashmina is an intriguing story of a psychiatrist and two of her patients that takes us on an unforgettable journey. As the patients undergo regression therapy, we see their memories come alive on stage and experience different eras in India’s picturesque past – from a quaint fishing village to an opulent palace, merchant caravans in the desert to a typical imperial officer’s club, a dark, dank dungeon to a magnificent ancient temple! Complete with live music, dance and drama, The Red Pashmina tells the story of serendipity through the ages... or is it destiny?

Bernard’s perfect life gets bumpy when his pal Robert drops in for a visit and a new and speedier Boeing jet throws off all of his careful planning. Soon all three stewardesses are in town simultaneously…timid Robert forgets which lies to tell to whom…and catastrophe looms! Fasten your seat belts, Boeing, Boeing is landing in Irving.
