Rose Pearson of Circle Theatre Passes Away

Rose Pearson

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Circle Theatre’s Executive Director, Rose Pearson.

Along with her husband, Bill Newberry, Rose founded Circle Theatre in 1981. She oversaw the theatre from its original location on Bluebonnet Circle, to Magnolia Avenue, to its current home in Sundance Square.

Rose championed Circle Theatre's mission of presenting innovative theatre in an intimate setting. Her leadership brought thirty-five wonderful seasons to the Fort Worth community. The theatre will continue her legacy when it starts its thirty-sixth season in 2017.

In her life before Circle, Rose worked and studied in Paris, London and Lisbon. She also free-lanced as a copywriter and acted in radio, television and film.

A celebration of her life will take place at Circle Theatre. Details will be announced shortly.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Circle Theatre in Rose’s name.

Thank you for your condolences and thoughts during this time.

 Sincerely,

 Tim Long
Associate Producer
