On June 12, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA) held an event for the Angel’s Circle level of donors; “An Evening with The Boys In The Band.” THE COLUMN Awards Organization has been a very strong supporter of BCEFA and was invited to the event as a member of the Angel’s Circle. In Fact, THE COLUMN Awards will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year. THE COLUMN Awards President/Founder John Garcia and Treasurer Jonathan Chitty attended the reception and performance of the Broadway revival of Boys in the Band. The next afternoon, Mr. Garcia and Mr. Chitty went to the BCEFA New York office to present on behalf of THE COLUMN Awards, and the Dallas/ Fort Worth Theatre Community, their annual donation of $5,000.00. They presented the check to BCEFA Executive Director Tom Viola, Director of Development Danny Whitman, and Senior Development Officer Sarah Cardillo.
