Christopher Soden
Associate Critic
Christopher Stephen Soden is a native Texan. In August 2010 he received a full fellowship to Lambda Literary Foundation's Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices in Los Angeles, California. In 2007, Queer Anarchy, a performance piece he wrote received The Dallas Voice's People's Voice Award for Best Stage Performance. He is a writer, teacher, critic, lecturer and performer. Christopher received his MFA in Writing (Poetry) from Vermont College in January of 2005. He has taught classes and guest lectured on the subjects of craft, theory, genre, literature and publication. He was a film critic for The Fort Worth Ally and currently writes theatre critique for John Garcia's The Column and Examiner.com. He has written poetry, plays, performance pieces, literary, film and theatre critique. His honors include: Distinguished Poets of Dallas, Poetry Society of America's Poetry in Motion Series, Founding Member, President and President Emeritus of The Dallas Poets Community. Finalist in Dobie Paisano Fellowship, 4Th Unity and LSU Outworks Drama Festivals. Finalist in Robin Becker and Refined Savage Chapbook Contests.
