Daniel Solon
Associate Critic
Daniel grew up in Dallas, attended UT Austin (BA English, Theatre and Dance minor), studied acting at The New School in NYC and received an MFA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. His work as a producer, writer, director and actor has been presented internationally including Austin’s FronteraFest, Dallas Fringe Festival, Philly Fringe, Brighton Festival, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This autumn, Daniel will premier a new opera through the Jerwood New Opera Writing Foundations course at Aldeburgh Music, and will attend the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Opera Making and Writing MA. Daniel is a guest lecturer at the London College of Communications, Chelsea College of Art and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He is an in-demand dramaturge working at The Space and The Bush theatres, both in London. Daniel’s first review was published in the Dallas Morning News and is currently a credentialed reviewer for The Column, Fringe Review and UnicornBooty.com
