Rebecca Roberts
Associate Critic
Rebecca Roberts is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, double-majoring in Psychology and Performance Studies, with a minor in English. Rebecca's interest in behavior and performance stemmed from her experience working as the Resident Costumer at the Artisan Center Theater for two years, between high school and college. While there, she was nominated for three Column Awards in both costume design and performance. At A&M, Rebecca worked as a Research Assistant, a Costume Studio Student Worker, and a Teaching Assistant in the Performance Studies department. She was inducted as a member and then Secretary for the A&M chapter of Alpha Psi Omega (a national theatre honors society). As a senior, Rebecca combined her degrees in Psychology and Performance Studies by developing a research thesis, which has been published through A&M's Undergraduate Research Scholars program. She is also part of the Liberal Arts Cornerstone Honors program, and graduated magna cum laude. Rebecca has interned at Samuel French Inc. (in NYC), Casa Manana, and Texas Theatre for Young People. She has also been extremely active in both the DFW and College Station community theatre scenes, performing in 23 shows, costume designing 19 shows, and working as a stage manager, dresser, and assistant director in a number of shows.
