Gemma Ramsey
Associate Critic
Gemma has been involved with the DFW theatre community since 2015, and in that time has performed in thirteen productions. She is well experienced in the technical side of theatre as well, having served as the Assistant Technical Theatre Director and shop foreman at Creekview High School the year after she graduated. Prior to coming out as trans, she performed in numerous productions including playing Jud Fry in Artisan Center Theater's production of OKLAHOMA!, Warren Sheffield in MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, Paul Wakowski in Garland Civic Theater's IN-LAW'S, OUTLAWS, AND OTHER PEOPLE (THAT SHOULD BE SHOT), the US Premiere of THE WIDOW, and swing roles in ELF: THE MUSICAL and DISNEY'S NEWSIES. She is currently serving as President and CEO of The Lost and Found Initiative, a non-profit using music and musical theater to shine a spotlight on depression and other mental illnesses. Theatre has been her passion for several years, and she is beyond thrilled to be able to represent the LGBTQ+ community in DFW theatre in such a big way.
