Heather Alverson
Associate Critic
Heather Alverson can remember the day that her mother bought her a bright pink echo microphone as a child, and the rest was history. Heather is a graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington where she obtained her B.F.A. in theater with an emphasis in performance. Over the years she has accumulated experience in acting on different levels. Some of her favorite roles include Marjorie in Extremities, Luisa Contini in NINE, Irene in When We Dead Awaken, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret ,Lil? in Lurker, Rosalind in As you like It, and singing with St. Maria Goretti?s choir at Carnegie Hall. She has also directed several David Ive?s pieces and The Rocky Horror Show. Her experience ranges from performing, stage management, special effects make-up, set painting, and light/sound operator. After reading reviews for performances her interest began to grow in becoming a theatre critic. Already having a secret love to write, she decided to combine all of her loves by writing theatre reviews. Her love for the arts is never ending, and she is glad to be able to show that appreciation with the written word.
