Jake McCready
Associate Critic
Jake McCready has been acting on and off the stage for 10 years. Currently a Senior at the University of North Texas seeking a BA in Theatre Performance, Jake plans to graduate in May of 2014. During his time at UNT, Jake has been in multiple shows on campus and continues to explore the many different facets of theatre including directing, costume design and stagecraft. You may have seen him on the UNT stage as Dave McComber in Ah! Wilderness; Lorca with blood in Lorca in a Green Dress; Ensemble/Old man in Reefer Madness; The Prince in Cinderella, originating the role of A.L.Rowse in The Lady Revealed; and Lenny in Marisol. Jake made his directorial debut at UNT last February with Columbinus and will be directing Permanent Collection in spring of 2014. The humble recipient of an Outstanding Student in Theatre award from the Honor's College, Jake continues to work hard. Outside of school, Jake has been involved in many community theatres around the metroplex. Some of his favorite roles include Igor in Young Frankenstein; Lecturer in Reefer Madness; Moritz in Spring Awakening; Chris in All My Sons; James Monroe in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. After graduation, Jake plans to continue his work in theatre in New York, as well as considering Grad School. Jake is a hard worker who will never stop pursuing his goals and aspirations. Currently based in Dallas where he continues to audition around the DFW area.
