Clyde Berry has spent over 30 years in the performing arts as an educator, director, writer, technician, designer, and performer with over 300 productions on his resume. His experience include television, film, radio/voice, and stage across the country and England. He is a sought after speaker for Theatre Education and has spoken or appeared on panels at the National Performing Arts Convention, Virginia Theatre Association, Bacchus and Gamma, and Opera America Conferences. He is the former Opera America Education Network Chair. A former critic for ONHamptonRoads, Clyde was pleased to join the writing staff of The Column in 2009. He has taught in public schools for ten years, creating arts programs for inner city schools, as well as on the collegiate level for the Education, Theater, and Career Switcher Departments for Old Dominion University, and as an adjunct at Texas Christian University. He holds degrees from Longwood College and Old Dominion University.
